After the death of his daughter, Judith, Jason Marks is spiraling — unmoored by a grief with no bottom. Echoes follows his slow, aching journey through loss toward something like light: a story about the wounds that break us, the memories that haunt us, and the fragile, stubborn possibility of return. A moving novel about faith, family, and what remains when everything else is gone.

Finding comfort From the Other side- A new take-Spoilers

I have often been fascinated by both fiction and non fiction books that answer questions, bring comfort or perhaps, create new questions about "what lies beyond". In a whole new take on this intriguing subject, the author, Afshine Emrani, explores the other world in the very voices of some of our cultural icons that have crossed over. What amazed me about this book was the way in which I believed that I was truly hearing the voices of these famous folk. It was as if Dr. Emrani had, himself, actually had been in communication with these various souls. This creates a fascinating, moving dialogue in which we are brought on an emotional journey with our protagonist, as he searches for peace for his own personal grief. Whether you are looking for a terrific supernatural thriller, or an investigation into the deeper questions of life and death, "Echoes" promises a great read and a soul searching trip into profound and comforting discoveries.
